The teeth are often about not losing one meal

Deep water is food-poor compared with the sunlit ocean. Long inward-pointing teeth can secure prey during a rare encounter. An expandable jaw or stomach lets an animal use prey that would be too large for a more rigid feeder.

That does not make the animal interested in humans. Most iconic 'monster' fishes are small and live far beyond normal human access.

Bioluminescence looks supernatural because we rarely see it

Light made by living tissue can resemble a lure, eye, spark or moving signal. In the deep sea it is a practical communication and survival system, not evidence of a hostile or mysterious force.

The same adaptation can attract prey, hide a silhouette, distract a predator or help animals find mates.

The deep sea is genuinely hazardous, but not mainly because of animals

For humans and machines, darkness, distance, cold, pressure and communication limits are the dominant hazards. The creatures themselves are usually observed by remotely operated vehicles and are not a direct threat to people.

Fear is therefore understandable, but it is usually aimed at appearance rather than actual risk.
